Grey Cardinals Press Tour USA: Bringing International PR Experience Back to Kazakhstan
In October 2025, Grey Cardinals organized its own professional PR tour to Boston and New York. The goal was not simply to explore the U.S. communications industry, but to understand which international practices could be realistically adapted and applied in Kazakhstan. During the tour, the team visited leading educational and professional institutions, including Boston University and the Museum of Public Relations on Wall Street, and met with representatives of the U.S. communications industry. The discussions focused on real-world cases, analytics, long-term planning and the evolving role of PR in business. The trip generated practical insights for the Kazakhstani market, from stronger PR measurement and analytics to moving beyond one-off activities toward long-term communications strategies. The key outcome was not simply exposure to international case studies, but a clearer understanding of how global experience can be adapted to Kazakhstan and integrated into the agency’s everyday work and client projects.
Project objectives:
Еxplore U.S. PR and communications practices, facilitate professional knowledge exchange, compare international and Kazakhstani approaches, identify tools relevant to the local market and develop new ideas for long-term PR projects.

We never wanted this tour to be just a professional sightseeing trip. Our goal was to see how the international PR industry works from the inside, speak directly with practitioners and educators, and continuously ask ourselves: what can genuinely work in Kazakhstan? We came back not only with impressions, but with concrete ideas we can implement in our own processes, client projects and the wider development of the industry.
Results:
Geography: Boston + New York
Focus: international PR practices and professional knowledge exchange
Key insights: analytics, strategic planning and long-term communications
Outcome: new methodologies and approaches for the Kazakhstani market. Memorandum of International Cooperation with Feintuch Communications.
